Our Story: A Community Bowling Tradition

McBo’s Lanes began in 1972 when a local couple, passionate about bowling, purchased an 8-lane bowling alley in Versailles, a small town of 2,500 residents. Their vision was to create a fun, inviting space for families and friends to gather and enjoy the sport of bowling.In 1974, after a neighboring skating rink fire, the family seized the opportunity to expand. They renovated the vacant building, transforming it into a vibrant 12-lane bowling facility. By 1977, the newly remodeled McBo’s Lanes opened its doors, quickly becoming a cherished part of the Versailles community.

Throughout the 1980s, the family took full ownership, ensuring McBo’s Lanes remained a beloved local business. Today, we continue to operate with the same dedication, providing a welcoming environment for bowlers of all ages.
